SQL Server Error on Windows

I am running a Web App on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit (ESXi Virtual Machine) using the Abyss Webserver. The database is MSSQL and I connect via the SQL Server ODBC connection that comes with Windows Server.

From time to time I get the dreaded “Application Off Line” message and when I look in the Windows Application Event Log I see an event that appears to be about the time of the problem referencing my EXE and a message that says:

Faulting Module Path: C:\Windows\system32\SQLSRV32.dll
Exception code: 0xc0000005

The ODBC Administrator in Windows says this connection uses the SQLSRV32.dll. There is another ODBC driver called “SQL Server Native Client 10.0” in the ODBC Administrator and it references a different dll.

Would the ODBC Native Client be better or is there a client built into to XOJO?

Most of my other work is done with MySQL and it seems more “friendly”. ;-))

It is pretty random but once it starts to happen you at least have to kill the EXE or sometimes even a reboot is needed.

Any suggestions?

Mark, I use SQL Server Native Client 10.0 and 11.0 and haven’t had any of these problems…
