Dave I have been using Innsetup and its easy once you get your options lined up in the ISS file.

it’s new to me that Wise was included into a Microsoft Bundle. My Information was that Wise was firstly bought by Altiris, then by Symantec and the last Wise software version was shipped in the end of 2011.

I would held the door open and support the older Windows OS also. So the installer could be used for none Metro Apps. I believe that Windows 7, Vista is still living some years. Im curious about the future of Metro Apps on the desktop.
Install Creator is a great product as well.

It includes a lot of functionality at a reasonable price.

Precisely Metro apps are NOT desktop. Totally different beast, entirely different programming environment, entirely different install, through the Windows Store. Hence bad luck for Wise. Will ever these apps be installable as stand alone ? At the moment, Windows 8 Metro apps do not even have ad hoc install as iOS does.
As for the future of Metro (or whatever it is called, ‘Window Store apps’ these days), only time will tell. At present, MS is simply making it as difficult as it can to market Desktop apps through the Windows store. Will that insure the success of Metro apps ? Without ad hoc install, they are a sure show stopper for corporate developments.
