SelectColor on OS X 10.8.5

http://documentation.xojo.com/index.php/SelectColor

example is:

Dim c as Color Dim b as Boolean c=CMY(.35,.9,.6) //choose the default color shown in color picker b=SelectColor(c,"Select a Color") Rectangle1.FillColor=c

I do not see “Select a Color” in my window on 10.8.5…

and you ?

Seems like Apple decided to not show it in current version of GUI.

I think via Plugin I could provide functions to have a text there.
If you are interested, please email me.

From the docs:
“Prompt to be displayed in the Color Picker. Shown only on Linux.”

http://documentation.xojo.com/index.php/SelectColor

The code below that works for me in 10.7/ 10.8/ 10.9 .

Dim c as Color
Dim colorSelected as Boolean

//here call the color piker
colorSelected = SelectColor(c,“Select on Color”)

Christian: thank you, but it was just a report, not something I needed.

I really have hard times when it is time to read the docs. Sometimes I read it twice ore thrice, but often I do not saw some important parts of the doc.

I never noticed the "Prompt to be displayed in the Color Picker. Shown only on Linux." part. I stayed on the old time when the string appeared.

FWIW: the displayed string in OS X, French is “Couleur” (Color).

Pour info: “c’était pour faire avancer le schmilblick.”
