# Save event to a calendar

I want to be able to have an “event” in my iOS app sent to the calendar on the same device.  
Is this simply a show URL?

There must be an easy way to do this.

You are going to need to find someone to provide the correct band-aid declares for you to use…  
This requires use of the EventKit … and probably an extra entitlement or two  
so “easy” is a relative term in this case.

It’s not difficult. I do it in my app and keep a local device calendar in sync with my app’s appointments. I use the [excellent MBS Event Kit](http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.de/xojo/EventKit/).
