For several years now, my license has been unusable.
I want to renew it, but I can’t find the correct version.
Xojo no longer offers the Lite license.

If you can log into Xojo.com, you should be able to see your licences, and download them, even if expired. You should also be able to download the version of Xojo that they related to, and install that.
Then in the licences dialog, browse for the downloaded licence.
After that your Xojo should work, licence expired or not
Are you going to work with Linux only?
If so, just download the new version of Xojo and you can create your apps and build them.
If you need Windows or Mac, web, ios or android, then you need to buy a license.
$145 to $499, what a bloat !

Right now, developing only for windows..
You can download and run Xojo to test out new features
You only need to purchase license when you want to build and deploy applications

A long dialogue with the Xojo team last year.
Conclusion: My 2015r1 license is over 10 years old.
No renewal, no update.
I have to buy a new one.
My 2015 license cost me $145.
Now I have to pay almost $500.
What I don’t understand is why I have to lose my license?

You absolutely do not lose your license.
They just won’t discount a new one.
Install xojo 2015 and that licence will work.
Currently 399 USD with the sale.
So either you pay that or you continue with the old license and 2015 version.

Yes. They have never offered what people expect as ‘normal’ upgrade pricing. Your old licence has little to no ‘tradein’ value
Once you are back on a license, you can turn on auto-renewal and get a discount for renewals.
