Regex: possible to detect multiple values without parenthesis?

Hi Folks, (and @Kem_Tekinay !)

I have a regex pattern that detect a word “Name” between ch(0) and chr(1) separators
\000Name\001
works ok

let’s say I want to add another word in the pattern, for example “Index”
can I write \000Name|Index\001
or do I need parenthesis
like \000(Name|Index)\001

this would add a match substring that I don’t want as I have other matches around.

thanks.

Parenthesis, but as (?:this|that) to make it non capturing.
