Read UUID and trim all unecessary

hi
i read the UUID from my pc but i need to take off UUID: and all spaces so it will be like: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx so i can make = or <> comparisons
any idea?
Thanks in advance

Hi Nektarios,

Start by looking at some of the functions of “String”. As an example, you could evaluate the position of “UUID:” in the source String, and then grab all the characters to the right (or ‘Mid’) of that location. The example from the docs is pasted below. Maybe this will help get you started…

Var source As String = “Hello World”
source = source.Left(5) // returns “Hello”

Thank you for the help.
It works.!!!
