Printing the documentation

Martin:
can you explain in simple words - just like you would to you 10 years old child - what your problem is as I do not understand what the trouble really is

Andr:
I do not understand either what the problem can be to use a portrait or a landscape page layout.

[1] The documentation cannot be printed in traditional Portrait format
[2] No Table of Contents
[3] No Index

However, after yet another experimenting session, I’ve finally come up with a solution which I find acceptable but it’s not perfect. The secret is in the combination of the printer settings and the Foxit Reader settings. I’ve set my printer up for double-sided printing and Portrait format. I have the “Auto-Rotate” setting in Foxit Reader un-checked (this is the setting that has made a big difference). This produces a document in Portrait format with one page on each side of the paper but the top three inches and bottom three inches of each page are blank. In other words, the pages are printed across the middle of each side of the paper with a three inch border at the top and bottom. This is the best format I’ve come up with so far and I think I should be able to live with it.

Martin: this is clear now (for me).

However, there is a Table of Contents

QuickStartDesktop.pdf two main entries + 13 sub-entries TutorialDesktop.pdf four main entries + 22 sub entries UserGuide-Fundamentals.pdf six main entries (Chapters) + 40 sub entries

Of course, if you check on Xojo 2013r1, these may be missing.

The pdfs are searchage (but your Acrobat application unknow to me: Foxit Reader) may not have this feature. Have you tried the free Adobe Reader ?

At last, for the OS X users, show the Table of Contents using the popup menu located af the top/left in the ToolBar.

Alternatively, you can get the Table of Contents from:
http://documentation.xojo.com/index.php/User_Guide_Fundamentals

link from the page: http://documentation.xojo.com/

I hope that will help.
