Possible to post here a small game collection of my own?

During the last 3 years, I was and I am still working on a few small card, dice and board games I made with Xojo.

There is a memory card game, a video poker game, a Yatzy dice game, a few card patiences too, Senet - a board game from ancient Egypt, a slot machine and some funny apps too.

One problem is, that most of the games explanations and help files are written in German language, please sorry me.

Still beta, i could not find much people to test the games until now. But most of them are working (hopefully)

If you would like to get a copy of my game collection, i will prepare it to distribute it for you. Please send me a message and I will send you a link to the download, if this is possible here. I am always open to censures and if you will encounter some bugs or if you have some improvement proposals, i am always sensitive.

And if you are working on similar games like me, and if you are encountering similar problems like me to realize them, please contact me for exchanging experiences if you like.

Your Rolf

if your games are free you could share a link to git hub.
i use “GitHub Desktop” software to handle the repositiry there.

there is a forum Category Code Sharing

Here is a place to share code snippets, links to template files, links to your open-source git repositories and more.

This category is a discussion-free resource. Any discussion about code shared here should not be made on these posts. You can reference the post in the appropriate category (General, Web, etc.).

I made my games available at Khnr.itch.io

I think, for future reference, I’m thinking of moving important stuff to GitHub as well, inviting other developers to keep the stuff alive.

Hi Detlef,

Thank you very much for the tip with itch.io . I will have a look there.

Yours, Rolf.

I became aware of itch.io because Jorio published his Pangea remakes there.

(Ich wurde auf itch.io aufmerksam, weil Jorio dort seine Pangea-Remakes veröffentlichte)

Which is an interesting circle, because I knew of those ports being made available on Github. MightyMike is a heck of a blast from the past.

I don’t think anyone’s explained in this thread, so I’ll just mention that Github is for sharing source code and itch.io is more like a storefront page (which is great for sharing built games).

True, this statement is missing above.

You’re absolutely right, although GitHub is being “misused” for all sorts of things these days.

Regarding the aspect of code sharing, I think it’s much more important that sharing our code on GitHub is not only very effective (and actually quite easy), but it also increases Xojo’s reach in the long run. The more code we share there, the more frequently Xojo appears in other users’ (and search engines’) search results.
