Paw extensions not working

Back in 2016 @Greg O’Lone wrote a blog post about adding Xojo code generation to the Paw API tester.

This worked great for me for a long time, but now I have a new laptop and a new version of Paw (3.1.8), Greg’s extensions seem to have stopped working. At least, after installing them in Paw’s extension folder and reloading Paw, they don’t show up.

Is anyone else having this experience? I’m on High Sierra (10.13.6). Thanks!

The original extensions no longer works with current versions of Paw due to API changes they’ve made. But the blog post was updated late last year with links to updated versions of Xojo extensions for HTTPSocket, Xojo.Net.HTTPSocket and URLConnection that will work with newer versions of Paw. Try the extensions links from the end of the post.

Hi @Paul Lefebvre. I did that originally, since I didn’t have the extensions on this new laptop. No joy.

Did you name the folders properly as noted on the GitHub pages?

Yes, I think so. My dialog matches yours (although I don’t have a server I can upload an image to at the moment).

@Paul Lefebvre what version of Paw are you using?

3.1.8.

is the extension designed to create the oauth code as well?
That part didn’t seem to work for me.

Weird. I wonder why it’s not working on system. Oh well.

@Paul Lefebvre New information:

Mirabile Dictu, it is now working! What did I do? I restarted Paw (several times); that didn’t help.

Then I restarted the Mac, and everything is happy now.

I miss punch cards; life was simpler.
