ok was working…went to lunch and upon return tried again but got the 503 error 
This is really bizarre. I guess I’m going to have to commit some serious time on Monday towards getting this resolved.
In the meantime, perhaps I can re-post here on the forum.

I called them and they cleared up some zombie processes. If that helped, great, but I still have to figure out what’s causing it.
