Seems to have been someone/something absolutely hammering the doc site scraping all the pages which caused it to be unavailable

That won’t console you, but the entire US Amazon.com servers went down this morning. App Store, market place…
Some of our servers were hacked two weeks ago. It always amaze me how some people get gratification in breaking other’s work…
As a former biologist, I see it as part of the diversity that has been essential to become what we are. Nevertheless, that represents a so great loss of energy.

Odd, always thought it would take a nuclear war to take Amazon out… they have the infrastructure from hell. Haven’t had any of our EC2 stuff go down in 4 years now… but then again, we sure pay for it monthly…
