No @-sign on my keyboard! Clownfish is the answer...

Jakob, have you tried a Restore as I told you ? It is almost the same as a clean install, but you will not have to reinstall apps.

No… I got the impression that I still would need to install some software.
Maybe I was reading too fast and/or did something else wrong.

I’ll consider it!
I also need to work on other things. This error was really demanding!!
I can’t solve it all in one time. I need to rest little…!

Thank you very much for all advice!

I’ll try the app in the evening. See if it works. It will be the first time I make an app for me, to actually use for something useful!

you might use this Microsoft tool. I use it to map the Apple Keyboard when using a VM, but it would do what you want too.

On the contrary. It removes unwanted installations. Restore simply puts your system back to when a restore point was created. By default, as apparently you have never used it, before applying a new update or installing major applications. It is one of the most powerful ways of getting back your computer when something goes wrong. It is very easy to use : choose the date at which you want to travel back in time, and click.

It is far less risky and far more simple than all the utilities and registry mess up I read here.

Ahhhhg ! I just recall the Keyboard ‘application’ (yes, on Windows). It may show you what is the current keyboard to use ?

Thank you for the Keyboard software. It might help…
I think it’s sad that Microsoft leave the poor quality that the standard layout of the keyboard fail.

Maybe it is the same with my other, older Win 7 Home computer? It is always ready for a new Update from Windows Update. If I run the Update… it’s just a matter of minutes, if that far, that the computer show “New Update for install” -message!

Eventually, I will try to reinstall Windows on both machines… if possible… Gee. What a bummer. So time consuming, for no reason!
Thank you for all input in this matter!

Web services has it’s charm!

Restore to a previous date … Why insist on complicated things when simple is available ?

If you have “clownfish” for skype or other…is this aplication. Because I delete this program and this problem solved

Thank you!!!

I hate this software! The user interface is so poor and the whole program is all confusing, annoying and extremely provocative inefficient.

Now, also with the at-sign…! Phew!
