New Framework: EncodeBase64 / DecodeBase64

Looking into possibly creating an iOS app using Xojo. A big part of that is transitioning existing code to the new framework. It’s a bit tough right now to see what actually needs to be done and to work between the two since the docs for the two frameworks are completely separate and the Migrating to the New Framework article is a bit limited.

Anyway, is there a way to encode/decode base64 with the new framework/on iOS?

There are a couple methods in XojoiOSWrapper https://github.com/Mitchboo/XojoiOSWrapper

Thanks. Asked this after searching for ~20 minutes and found nothing, and then right after you responded I finally found a couple other posts on this:
https://forum.xojo.com/19218-encodebase64-on-ios
https://forum.xojo.com/18743-encode-decodebase64-in-ios

Declare example projects for this are also included with Xojo:

Thanks Paul. You do a great job with the help/docs so you might be the one to suggest this to, but the first place we’ll be looking when moving to the new framework is the help docs/language reference. I feel like it would be so much more helpful to (a) have a combined language reference between the old/new framework that can be searchable at once during the transition and (b) have any old functions show their new framework counterparts or explicitly state that the are not yet implemented.

Took me a while to find these answers and this is going to be one of many answer I’ll need to find when exploring the new framework.

Thanks

I have a module that adds features to Text that includes Base64 (and hex, ReplaceLineEndings, and more). You can get that from:
