I was using a workaround of changing app id and/or app name (by adding 2 to the end of whatever is there) and then changing it back. Now, the Deploy with 2 added doesn’t even work.
If I can’t get another workaround, can I at least get an estimate of when Deploy will be fixed?
No error. It is the same problem I reported before. It starts uploading files but then gets to 0:00 remaining and doesn’t appear to be doing anything. It creates the folder on the server but it doesn’t appear that files are there (based on testing a link to a file, not verifying with a file manager).
I do whatever demos or tests you want me to do to pin this down.
Reboot your VPS, wait a few minutes and then try an Application Identifier that you’ve never used with Xojo Cloud before. Hopefully you’ll be able to Deploy successfully.
I wasn’t aware of the Beta channel (thanks Greg). I installed the beta version (2014r1.1) and still got the error. The problem seemed to be related to uploading PNG but might have just been a coincidence. I could restart the server and other content could upload but as soon as I tried to upload PNG it seemed to crash the server.
It is working now so perhaps it is fixed. I still think there is something weird going on. I’ll keep monitoring it.
