Multiple Midi Ports On Mac

I have a program using with one midi port using PortMidiMBS, which works on Windows and Mac.
When I increased this to 4 midi ports it continued to work on Windows but on Mac it partially worked with one or two ports.

On checking in the “Audio Midi Setup” it showed my program with only one Midi Port even though in the software it looked as though there are 4 separate Midi ports.

Dose anyone have information/example on setting up multiple Midi Ports on a Mac?

You need to set this up in the Audio MIDI setup before it is accessible in for example DAWs.
