Missing second toolbar for adding classes etc

Where has the second toolbar for adding classes, folders, menu handlers, methods etc gone? Adding this stuff via menu is annoying and the Insert button isn’t much better.

Indeed. I find the Insert Menu to be very annoying. One could almost say “Start Menu”-esque.

Is there already a Feedback issue or should I create one?

I didn’t see anything in Feedback but that doesn’t mean much since many of the alpha/beta Feedback reports are not public.

Open Alpha/Beta feedback issues?
My company will not put anything into production status if there are open QA issues… unless those QA issues are for the most part cosmetic or there is a published work-around… and in those cases we make those available to our business clients so that THEY know that WE know and are working on it.

Oh, please. If you were holding Real Studio/Xojo to that standard it would never ship (and you’re using the wrong product). Not every Feedback item is a bug. Some are feature requests and some are simply rants.

I’ve requested a number of mine be made public (that last time I checked one of them was at #6 in the voting). But its on a case by case basis and someone at Xojo Inc has to do it. It’s not feasible to make them all public because of attached projects in some of them.

Here it is:

Bob … please read my response a bit more carefully.

Personally the state of Xojo is sub-par at the moment… especially when compared to RS2012… the compile is MUCH better, but the IDE (and I know you agree), is less than productive… (or stable… in some cases)

Those are not “cosmetic, nor do they have a published work-around”… but my point was more that “the beta is over, let everyone know what cases remain open… so we don’t duplicate them, can comment on them, and perhaps provide some insight as to a work-around”

and feature requests and rants are NOT “open QA issues”

Sure. No problem.

If you have an alpha/beta Feedback item you’ll need to contact one of the Xojo folks to get it made public. I’ve gone in on a number of reports adding a comment asking for it to be made public. The original poster has to agree though.
