I get a message that the above DLL is missing when I install a Xojo project compiled under Xojo 2017r.1.1 (our previous compiles were under 2015r3.1).
After many trials and errors I discovered that the problem was that on that computer, the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 was not installed.
This is here just in case others may encounter this. Also, is it possible for Xojo to detect this and give a more helpful message (perhaps sooner in the process)?
There has been much discussion about this in the forums, and Xojo provides the files for redistribution as part of the Xojo install.
You are flagged as “Pre-Release Testers” … but this DLL requirement has been around for quite a while now.
Here are some posts from a year ago:
For more information you can also check out the Documentation folder of your Xojo installation.
