To me this looks like the MBS method used in Valdemars code is using libSystem and this seems not to be possible from a sandbox?
Valdemar is using ServiceManagementModuleMBS from Monkeybread’s plugins.
MBS has an example (“Sandbox Safe LoginItems Helper App”)for this, which also does not work from a sandbox (despite its name).
In the Readme file which comes with Christian’s example, he writes: “Disclaimer: Due to bugs in Apple’s Mac OS X or sandbox code it may be that this does not work for you.”
So it is not really “Sandbox Safe” and so far I have not seen it working anywhere.
Is anybody out there who is successfully running a helper app from a sandbox application on OSX 10.10.3 ?
If yes, HOW did you do this?
