Kousek vs Codebox - snippet tools

Hello all!
I’m searching for a snippet tool. In past I bought Codevue, but it has some limitations (no folder, no scrollbar, a few bugs).

I’m reading about Codebox and Kousek.

The first one is cheaper than Kousek, but (if I understand) it have no support for Xojo syntax. Kousek costs a few more and it supports Xojo.

Anyone has experience with one (or both) of this app? Can you give me any suggestions?

Many thanks

Someone here recently recommended Dash: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dash-docs-snippets/id458034879?mt=12

It does both Snippets and Docsets and is incredibly useful and flexible. I’ve been using it for a bit now and couldn’t imagine going back.

Codebox and Dash are nice.

CodeVue 2 is a paid upgrade, which fixes many of the limitations in 1.0. You can check it out here: http://www.logicalvue.com/products/codevue/

And use coupon code CVUPGRADE to save $20.

Many thanks Paul! Great price too! I bought Codevue!
Dash is a vary nice tool too! I’m trying it now. Very interesting for the quick response on documentation searches!

Paul - One nice addition to Codevue would be allowing the user to choose the database location. One of the things that I like about Dash is I can keep my snippets in Dropbox and get to them from the 3 computers I typically use to code.

Why to use a coupon for CodeVue ? It’s free for v.2 …Paul check your eshop settings because it sends the registration code, free of charge…

Yeah, that would be pretty useful.

it certainly should not have been doing that. Hopefully it is OK now or I’ll never be able to afford my own tropical island!

i already paid for codevue v1. how do i upgrade to v2??

never mind… just upgraded.

Same

Here is one that I use and is cross platform.

THE SCRIPTER’S SCRAPBOOK

I’m a fan of Codebox. I wrote a review (http://www.xdevmag.com/browse/9.3/9302/) though it’s been updated since then. I like that I can keep my snippets on Dropbox and use Codebox on multiple systems. It still doesn’t support Xojo syntax, but that’s never bothered me.

I love how sippets work in xcode. It is a pitty that we do not have a similar thing directly in Xojo!
