# Is There’s a WinUI not for Windows?

No, but TargetWindows is the older Win32 API and TargetWinUI is Windows using WinUI. It’s a lot like the old TargetCarbon and TargetCocoa for mac, when that transition happened.

Nobody told me that (or: this information does not comes to me).

Now I know.

PS: it was to display a Directory Icon for WinXxx (whatever it is); default icon for folder is macOS. (in a Choose a Folder BevelButton).
