IOS Canvas crash on device ok in simulator

Think I may have found an issue. Could someone else confirm.

In an ios application referencing canvas.width/height in the open event reports incorrectly, however this is the issue

if I refer to canvas.width in my code it works ok after the canvas has been there for a few references, however…

Dim v as integer=canvas1.width // This works ok
dim v as integer=canvas1.width\ 4 // this works ok
dim v as integer=canvas1.width - 150 \\ Works ok in simulator but either crashs on device, or worse screws up memory - i am getting objects in arrays of objects unrelated which are just vanashing!

anyone see this?
