Intel Galileo board

Anyone know if Xojo would run on one of these?

It should be possible. It’s an x86 board. But there is a catch.
No way to add a screen to it. So you can’t see what your doing.

Probably it will not meet the system requirements, not the correct Linux version and too little ram. Also is this processor very slow compared to the current desktopprocessors. However i don’t know the possibilities for expanding.
see: http://documentation.xojo.com/index.php/System_requirements

What I want to see is if will support a standalone web app. Then you don’t need a screen. It’s the sort of thing I’d love to have for low cost.

ARM support would be great for tiny computers. If you haven’t voted for that in feedback, feel free to pile on.
The raspberry pi is great for small utility apps, and the new beagle bone black looks even better for some things. There really isn’t an intel equivalent yet that I’ve seen.

Some of the atom boxes aren’t bad, but you’ll probably spend at least $200 on one of those. At that point you might as well get a cheap used mac mini.

This X86 board can do what you need …

Could you give us a bit more information on what you tried?

What OS version is installed? Does it come pre-installed with Linux or did you have to install one (which one)?

And what’s the error message when you try to run a Xojo-made app? What does the “file” command say about the executable file?
