I tried installing Xojo in the Arm version of Windows in Parallels on my M1 iMac and it failed because the installer said it requires x64 architecture. Is there a way to install Xojo in the Arm version of Windows?
Install it on a regular pc and then zip folder, copy over and unzip it.
This won’t get you the registry entries, but still may work.
If the reason to do this is debugging, consider as an alternative letting the IDE run under macOS but put the remote debug app in the VM and debug “remotely”.
You could just use the remote debugger from the Extras folder.
I have an Intel version of Windows with Xojo installed in Parallels on an Intel iMac for debugging and building. I was hoping that it would be possible to install Xojo in the Arm version of Windows since that’s where things are heading now.
I have just requested this and opened a Feedback Case. I’d also like to do some testing in Windows ARM on the IDE itself.
I did try the remote debugger and it works. I suspect that Xojo will run on the Arm version of Windows but they need to update the installer to get it on there. I’ve tried some of my previously built Xojo apps and they work.
Yeah, I’ve been using the remote debugger for quite a while now. I’m impressed with how well my Xojo apps operate on Win11ARM.
I tried to run IDE on Windows ARM, but that doesn’t work for me.
The dialog to agree comes, but then it seems to exit.
