hi,
it would be nice to do a code competition in December
rules:
each forum users can present one or more programs
the program should be 100% in xojo (no declares, no external plugins)
deadline:
December 1-15, each person wishing to participate would post on
the thread forum the source code of the program (zip format)
December 16-31, each user’s vote for a maximum of three programs
3 points for the first
2 points for the second
1 points for the third
beginning of January, the competition results
all sources code is included on a archive
the first 3 winners must have prices (licenses offered by sponsors (materials, licence key…)
What do you think ?
Are you offering to sponsor this contest?
Why the pure Xojo restriction ?
to ensure a level playing field(?)
From personal experience I can foresee lots of people saying “oh, count me in”, and then a week or so later, they all forget about it, and it never gets mentioned again.
Good idea if I only had some spare time left.
It never hurts to toss the idea. But are we not all engaged in a continued contest for the killer software in each and every way ?

From personal experience I can foresee lots of people saying “I have nothing to prove”, and a moment later they all forget about it, and it never gets mentioned again.
Here is a link to a code contest for another dev platform. Interesting contest idea.
