IDE Script command Speak

Under MacOS 15.4 the IDE command Speak doesn’t seem to work any more. Is there a workaround?

Works fine here using 2025r1, macOS 15.4.

Thank you. So my old XOJO version (2023 R 1.1) will be the reason

Be sure to lower the sound before using it. I crashed my loudspeakers with Speak (too loud).
Go to the macOS System Sound.

That sounds like what would happen if you connected a LineOut socket to microphone jack.
