OMG I just upgraded to 2024R4, the error window font is even smaller than it used to be , and making it almost impossible to read error messages. I am now concerned its going to be unusable, and since this has been around for 12 years, I’m more concerned that it wont be fixed while I still have my eyesight.
Does anyone have a work around for this? I have tried windows textsize which is supposed to change the text size in applications, but is ignored in Xojo.

When referring to 12 year old cases you should provide the case number so people can see what you are talking about.

I agree that the recent font size change makes it MUCH harder to read. Seems like a dumb change.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand what either of you are referring to. Where is it that the font size is too small? I don’t see so well myself, so I certainly don’t want there to be areas where the font sizing is too tiny.

Are you talking about the zone where compiler errors are reported (compile time) or debugger information (runtime) ?
you should mention your monitor diagonal inch length,
the used resolution in windows for desktop and the windows zoom %.
Have you tried looking at the preferences, there are font size settings for Editor and Debugger. If any of those fix the problem, what values were set before hand? Perhaps a default size is too small?
Did you look in the Xojo prefs to see if there’s something you can alter?
Perhaps the O/P might help himself and others by answering pertinent questions that have been asked with a view to finding out what the actual problem is.
Perhaps a course on how to ask a question is indicated.

I use the IDE on windows almost exclusively and I don’t have this issue. My monitor sizes run from 13.3" at 200% to 32" at 100%.
A recent font size change and issue that is around for 12 years? This makes no sense. A screenshot may help.

this is the change for code editor font added to 2024r1:
#75103 - The debugger font and size needs to be customisable
that may be the problem that OP found (the default is too small for OP’s setup, needs to be changed to be bigger).
