I need to go to a site/URL that requires a username and password (which I have) and presents me with a (URLs) list of .txt files so that when I click on one, [https://www.xyz/2026/Thisfile.txt](https://www.xyz/2026/Thisfile.txt), opens to a text file I can copy to the clipboard and paste into whatever my next step is.

In another language, I used a command that took the username and password and full URL to the .txt file, resulting in it being opened in a browser window. I’m guessing Xojo has a similar command.

I’d like to copy that text data into a variable or clipboard for parsing and skip the copy/paste step.

Once there, how to I programmatically pull the .txt content into my program (variable or Clipboard) so I can parse it for database (SQLITE) storage and perhaps later export it as a JSON file.

In short, I’ve seen commands to get there, but don’t know how to extract it.

you must know how the access works.
protected by .htaccess , or login form which sends form data and return a access token.
you could test Basic Auth
`https://user:password@www.xyz`

if you need the Clipboard in Xojo
