Hoping for fix for crashing toolbar bug

Still crashing in 2018r1.1 :frowning:

Still crashing in 2018r2

Iā€™m starting to lose hope for native toolbarsā€¦

Fixed in Xojo 2018r3

Thank you Xojo!

Uh ohā€¦ this just started happening to me on Catalina+Xojo 2019R3.2 on a previously working app. Itā€™s definitely timers (led to the issue by this old thread). I have a timer that looks for whether the option key is pressed to change the toolbar icons accordingly.
I canā€™t say for sure when this started; I just moved to Catalina a month or so ago. No change in the code, and I canā€™t test to see if itā€™s because Iā€™m 64-bit now.
Anyone else seeing this regression?

No crash here.

Crash log?

I actually submitted a bug in feedback. You can use the original crash-causing example app to recreate it. Iā€™m not sure how the original crash manifested, but this one results in the spinning beachball. I can generate a crash log, but it would be a crash report after I kill the process.

This only seems to affect standard 1-click toolbar buttons; doesnā€™t affect the dropdown

Feedback case is: <https://xojo.com/issue/61270>

Original with examples is: <https://xojo.com/issue/36834>

Looks like with my original sample it even locks up using Xojo 2019r1.1 and Catalina (but not Mojave so far). :frowning:

I put some points toward the new feedback case. I really hope it doesnā€™t take 2 years to fix this timeā€¦
