Throw some trash in the Flux Capacitor and I will meet you Friday the 19th in 2037 and buy you a beer :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Back to the Future day to all !

We just got the hoverboards ready in time to celebrate

Self closing Nikes still in the works …

I’ll be at the theater tonight to see Back to the Future II.

Remote debugger!

Scary part
The Cubs ARE in the playoffs
What else is going to come true ?

Yes. And those of us here in Chicago are delighted. Except we are totally on edge being down 3 games. Gotta win tonight. The prophecy says the Cubs will win the World Series.

By the way, I DID get a Flux Capacitor watch last weekend (really - I did). So now I can travel anywhere I want in time… I’ve been stuck for a while because I misplaced my Tardis.

You better weld that watch to your wrist. If you lost a Tardis, losing a watch will probably be easy by comparison.

Self closing shoes do exist.

I was saying “Nikes”. Apparently they are working on it and said they are going to introduce self-tying shoes next year.

I am looking for the day my favorite car manufacturer announces that I can fill up with banana peels and leftover beer.

If i read it well those will/wherr made with nike

Nike was everywhere in the movie. But the self tying nikes Marty used in there were pure special effects. A find it amazing that since 1985 the never found one minute to do some R&D.

To commemorate ‘Back To The Future’ day, here’s what would happen in actual 2015:

You might also enjoy the first 6 minutes of Chris Hardwick’s show from last night:

They almost had them in 2011: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2392678,00.asp

It seems they’re in New York right now: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/nike-back-future-tying-shoes/story?id=34624788

That’s nothing. The Watch-making industry totally missed the boat, put no R&D into communications, and let the phone industry take over the biggest tech gadget of the century, despite the fact that * Tracy set the precedent way back in 1931 for a portable, wrist-based communication device.

*edit: Apparently, ‘Dick’ Tracy is an unapproved word.

Our costumes for a Back to the Future themed Halloween Party this weekend are a Flux Capacitor and a Flux Resister (because one would have to assume they have those, right?).

I’ve often wondered that as well.

…Since the Flux Capacitor makes time travel possible, does the Flux Resistor make teleporters (space travel) possible?

Not quite, actually, Casio had a GSM watch a while ago. Never picked up. Now very valuable on eBay…

The sad bit of course is that now, everything in ‘Back to the Future’ happened in the past…

I feel old.
Theres another reason for that of course…
