Hacktoberfest 2020

Like every October, we will be able to push a little bit the open source community, by participating either creating interesting OSS projects or contributing pull requests to them.

The idea behind is to attract new people to the open source community, asking for help with issue tickets that are easy or quick to solve, and contributors can win a T-shirt or plant a tree in exchange.

Here is this year’s official website: https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/
A list of Xojo OSS projects: https://documentation.xojo.com/resources/third_party/open_source_projects.html

Do you need help with any of your projects? Will you participate in any repository?

This looks really cool, I wish I had time :sob:

It would be nice if at least people can point into already open source projects with issues we can fix. Or OSS maintainers sharing issues that they cannot fix because of lack of time.

I found some time to update the IPify project for API 2.0
Does anybody else have small projects to work on? I like free tshirts!

It does seem as though they’ve made it harder to participate, repo owners must flag their repo for participation: https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/hacktoberfest-update
