In a recent thread it was commented that it is possible to use the new Option:

But today I’ve noticed something very interesting:
Many windows users have noticed and complained about how often Xojo hangs during a long work session, mainly when starting to run or compile the application.
Well, I’ve just experimented that if I have the above Option on, I get the old message about something happening but instead of Xojo hanging (as it was before) now everything continues. This is a big relieve, at least for me, and I want to communicate just in case someone can take profit of it.
