Anyone using ODBCDatabase with firebird 2.5 had problems with the Commit method? It didn’t work for me.
I had to create a subclass (ODBCFb) and override the method , with a SQLExecute “Commit”
I am using MBS SQL plugin and I am very satisfied.
Of course a native control would be grest but I am pretty sure that XOJO will not have any interest on it. No profitable at all.
I beleive that firebird is one of the best multiplatform database available

the biggest knock against both firebird and postgresql for a long time was they were such a pain in the rear to install on many OSes
Firebird require less than 6 clicks and 1 minute to be installed.
Robustness and speed is mostly similar to MS SQL Server or MySQL.
I personally beleive that Firebird is for databases like Xojo is for programing languages
Not so used but quite similar than any of the big 5 ones.
My personal feeling is that is to much under valued and under knoleged
I am so fan of Firebird that I am of XOJO
Same for postgres

The Firebiird instructions havent been updated since macOS 10.3
