Hi everyone this is my first post on the new forum. I used to post regularly on the old forum as user waveuponwave.

I’ve just got a Xojo compile license from my work and I am just starting to get acquainted with the Xojo interface.

My first project in Xojo is to take an existing RS project and convert it to a system service. I’ve never worked with Xojo or a system service before in RS and I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips on how to quickly take my existing RS project I now have open in Xojo and get it working as a system service.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I ported a project started in RS for Xojo and with the exception of a few things have changed such as the now defunct expression. AbsolutePath, she was traded for. NativePath, and things of this kind, moreover do not believe that will have major problems, see the list of depreciated items and move on with confidence.

Is the RS app a console app?

No, it was a desktop app.

I just went ahead and manually ported the parts I needed into the empty service template.

It was no biggie.
