Eddie's Electronics - Images - Copyright

Hi There,

I’m looking for a source for employee/customer images to use in a sample database I’m developing. And I was wondering what the status of the images in this demo app is. Can we use them in our projects? And what about if I was to release the database into the public domain at a later stage?

Also, if anyone can suggest a good source for these types of images I’d by thankful.

James

Most icons are from the Open Iconic project (https://useiconic.com/open).

FatCow has a free icon set, all you need to do is attribute them.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for that. I read the notice but I’m not sure what I’m doing falls into that category. I’m doing the following:

  • Copy of Chinook database
  • Extend the tables to handle optimistic locking, auditing and history
  • Added user security capabilities
  • Create views
  • Create stored procedures
  • Support PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQLServer & Oracle
  • Three database sizes: S, M, L
  • Add images for users and customers

So I suspect grabbing the images might not be what was intended by that agreement.

You could use FatCow icons or try to find the icons you like from the example in the Open Iconic project (https://useiconic.com/open) until someone from Xojo comments.
