I was thinking: “there is so many years since the last time I follow the Uqickstart. Paybe here is soething to learn there ?”
So, I went there: Desktop Quickstart and read it, then click in Next.
The next page is about Web.
I clicked in:
not in Web nor Mobile.
Strange.
Not that strange really. This is a chapter in the QuickStart part of the documentation that deals with desktop apps and the next chapter deals with web apps.
It also says:
This QuickStart has introduced you to Xojo and you’ve learned how to make your first app by designing a window, adding controls and writing code. A good next step is the Desktop Tutorial.
At this point you can choose to dig deeper into the topic of desktop apps by clicking on ‘Desktop Tutorial’ or to continue with the QuickStart tutorial that takes you through everything Xojo has to offer, which includes web apps.
So they think you do not know what you want to do.
I was awaitin the next chapter in Quickstart. 
On the contrary they do expect you know what you want to do and are able to make an informed choice. However it seems you didn’t realize you were reading a chapter of a larger QuickStart tutorial encompassing all of Xojo, including web apps etc.. The Desktop Tutorial that you were after (I think) is just a link away – see above.
