Converting to Xojo.Net.HTTPSocket

What type is “mDownloadURL”? It needs to be Text if you’re calling the Xojo.Net.HTTPSocket.Send method. If it’s a String, then call the ToText method to convert it to Text. Perhaps try:

DownloadSocket.Send("GET", mDownloadURL.ToText, newFile)

In general, this means you have passed in parameters that cannot be matched with any method signatures.

Certainly. Just do the reverse of what you did previously.

Dim classicFile As FolderItem = New Folder(newFile.Path, FolderItem.PathTypeNative)

Apparently Tim is faster than I am. I’m going to leave this and also re-iterate what Tim said: Don’t use AbsolutePath with the classic FolderItem. Use NativePath instead.

One error left: TypeMismatch, expecting folder item got xojo.IO.folderItem

In FileRecieved how do I convert to Classic.FolderItem from File as xojo.IO.FolderItem

Dim classicFile As FolderItem = New Folder(newFile.Path, FolderItem.PathTypeNative)

I’m confused by this: FolderItem.PathTypeNative is the passed in File

What’s newFile.Path?

Guys thanks for your patients
