I have written a Windows-only app in Xojo 2023 (migrated to 2024) that uses the Xojo Power Point interface.
I need a developer who can write Xojo code that will interrogate the OLEObjects that are received via COM messages FROM Power Point. The Xojo code must be able to expose the details about the Power Point OLE objects on the active slide in real time as they are received via COM, and make them available to my app, perhaps by saving the info in a public string variable.
Specifically, I need to determine when Power Point shapes with specific names become visible or invisible on the active slide during a Power Point slide show, and pass them to my app as string names.
Here’s a hypothetical example: A Power Point slide contains a rectangle shape that is named July. The code simply needs to tell me that July is now visible on the slide or that July is now invisible, due to the actions of Power Point animation during the slide show. This could be accomplished with the “Appear” and “Disappear” animations (or any other type of animation).
It’s really pretty simple, but I do not have the expertise to interrogate an OLEObject from a handle that is passed to my app.
As deliverables, I would need to receive the source code for the solution, along with the working code.
Thanks much - I look forward to hearing from someone who could help with this task. I would prefer that pricing be based on the project, rather than hourly charges.
