Connection of a software to a cash register

Hi,
I have to connect my software to a cash register.

There is a universal protocol that does this and maybe a class in xojo?

if your cash register uses COM port, you can use XOJO Serial component to trigger the OPEN bits.

each cash register has his own standard, so i would need a class that can handle more standards, that already can manage more of them
