This is about as performative as the TickTock ban in Montana.
The trouble is that it’s unlikely, yet, to be fit for purpose. But people will assume that it will be 100% accurate and believe whatever it tells them.

But is that limited to ChatGPT? I have joked for years that we’re coming to the point where term papers (if by then they still exist) will have memes in the footnotes.
