cannot deploy webapp with latest xojo

Hi,

I have a webapp, written in Xojo 2013R3. Now I purchased the current xojo version. but after building the app and uploading it to my server, i get a ‘500 Internal Server Error’.

If I build the same app with Xojo 2013R3, the app works!!!

I know there can be a lot of things that causes this error. It is not a permission problem!

Can anyone help me?

You should also look at the system requirements page. There are other libs that will need to be updated since 2013.

Libicu or other system security patches should not be on his/her concern list. These are standard libraries that many applications need, we just have a higher minimum requirement than we did before.

Lars, have you tried your App on any Linux (Ubuntu) Webserver before, perhaps in vmware? Otherwise could you create a plain and empty xojo Webapp without any addons or database access and test this? Does it work?

Hi, I didn’t solve the problem.

My App runs on my personal server but not on our company server.

Libicu is installed. All old xojo-version-apps are working.

The server is x64, my app is x32.

Qestion is: Is it the 32Bit Version of libicu (normal apt-get install will only install the 64Bit libicu)?

2nd Question do you have ssh access? (chroot or normal)? If so could you post the output of the

ldd - Command?

for Example:

ldd /var/www/sip.vms.de/cgi-bin/via/test/VIA_test

and also for the framework libs:

ldd /var/www/sip.vms.de/cgi-bin/via/test/VIA_test Libs/XojoConsoleFramework32.so

usw.

Perhaps we can so see what is perhaps missing from the “Company”-Server and find out why with the new version compiled apps won’t work any more.
