My web host has informed me that the server that hosts my site is a BSD server instead of Linux.
Is this a deal breaker or will BSD run just like Linux?
thanks

BSD may not have or support or have all the required libraries for running web or console apps.
I’d kind of be surprised since its NOT a supported set up

Some BSDs, at the very least FreeBSD, have a Linux emulation layer that may work. However, as Norman mentioned, it’s not a supported configuration at all.
FreeBSD w/ Linux emulation enabled seem to support at least Console apps built with Xojo. I run Linux Apps built with Xojo which work perfectly fine. So if you’re building Console app it should work, not sure about Web apps, but why not.
