If I sign up for the OS X beta seed program - am I obliged to post bug reports etc?
You’re supposed to. You get a Feedback app. It’s up to you whether you use it or not.
I’m happy to do that - but I didn’t want to tie myself in to something which I may not have time to do.
Thanks.
Is it possible to install the beta in VMWare fusion?
I thought a CD / DVD was needed?

A CD/DVD?! Apple don’t even ship Macs with optical drives anymore
Yes, you could certainly using VMWare Fusion. Or a partition on your Mac’s main drive. Or just an external drive. Lots of options.
Thanks Gavin,
I might try and download it and install into VMWare fusion.

If you’re testing a beta and want to provide useful feedback to Apple, a separate partition (or external drive) is the best way to go. There are a bugs that you get in a VM that you wouldn’t on actual hardware.
In that case - I think I will wait until FALL?
Thanks.
That’s what I do. It is rather simple and does not take room on my hard drive.
