Couldn’t be bothered to set up yet another login and password to a site I didn’t need, just to get a picture here.
Trust me, I’m smiling nicely behind the green lumpy thing…
Well a Gravatar is for more than just here.
It makes it easy to have the same identity across the intarwebs.
It’s always a nice surprise when you post somewhere and your identity is already taken care of. If you’re trying to separate your identity from your post, A) stop posting something you shouldn’t, and B) use a different email address; and your Gravatar won’t show up.
I prefer real face, but I often use Mr Potatoes (on other forums).
Thomas “Potatoe Head” Robisson
After being abused by one (former) member here I decided to create a Simpson-look-a-like picture of me.
Who cares what others think - just be yourself. If others don’t like you - tough luck
In my case the ex member wanted to create an account to pretend he was me.
What You think of me, my opinions, how I look and so is nothing I pay attention to.
But we talk about two different things here, right?
Wow some people are just awful.
That explains the “is not verified” tag now. I could never understand why that was such an important issue to Xojo.
Not everyone on the internet is like that though, I appreciate real faces. Mine’s kind of hidden, but that’s because it’s the last picture I have of when I had hair… It’s connected to my identity (twitter, every forum, anywhere that uses gravatar), but I’d change it if it made people more comfortable.
Was that meant to be joke?!?
Come on Tim - show us al your face - don’t be shy
When you had hair? Did you shave it all off?
Yes
We spoke here, on Xojo forum, about avatars some monts ago. I show the picture of the avatar Mr Potatoes I use and some persons told me ot was ugly. And aked me to remove it because it hurt their eyes when they read the thread. Then I don’t show it again .
And I’m happy nobody said anything about my true face.
OOOOOOOhhhhhh - now that’s tempting!
