Anyone own a Vision Pro

Just curious if any Xojo developers own a Vision Pro and have used it with the Xojo IDE via macOS screen sharing? I had the demo in the Apple Store and it was pretty cool.

i have a Meta Quest 3.
for developing the difficult is seeing the keyboard in a good quality in mixed reality. (having a virtual office in 3d)
because you look through camera the quest can create few supported virtual keyboards and show real fingers overlap.

It is pretty cool, but AVP is a bit too heavy to be used as a display for a longer period of time. The image quality itself is great, but I cannot sit wearing it for several hours.

I do use it to browse this forum though, lying down, it’s like having a giant screen on the ceiling. No need to hold an iPad!

you need Rokid Max

Never tried Rokid, but I’m using Xreal Air 2, and I’m quite happy with it, at least for playing movies on the go (a must-have on a flight or a few hours trip by train). Not really suitable for work, as the edges are a bit blurry and there are some small areas with lower sharpness (and without 3dof support you cannot just move your head to see the particular part of text clearer). The original Xreal Air model was a bit better in this regard, as it had higher IPD more suitable for my face shape, and the image quality was actually just enough for me to code and work with text on a Mac mini for a couple of days without any external display.

I have high hopes with Xreal One though, as they are going to have 3dof support built-in, so it will be possible to “lock” the screen in place. And there’s also One Pro with a new optics, to be released around March. I think the technology is improving quite fast.

Nothing beats the Vision Pro image quality though.

ahh yes the competition.
can’t test the Vision Pro.
today i found out that clear type settings in windows make font colorful at remote headset at meta quest 3 … with the use of Virtual Desktop app.
Virtual Desktop had add new feature virtual multi monitor environment i tested today.

These are some interesting products I hadn’t heard of - thanks!

I suspected the AVP would be too heavy - I started to notice the weight by the end of the Apple Store demo. The fidelity seems pretty incredible.

Here’s hoping gen 2 will be lighter.

to wear the device at the head is familiarization.
my issue is the short battery average duration of few hours.
to work a day it need a charging cable.
some annoying is the change between game controller input for device and real mouse to use at source code.
for sure i will never mix hand gestures to work remote desktop in a ide.
somehow mix two or three pc’s together is a bad choice.
just a monitor replacement glasses is better.
