Analyzing GIF

Hi,
Is there a way to analyze what RGB colour there is at particular pixel locations in a GIF on IOS?
Also, is there a way to alter GIFs at particular pixel locations.

Assume I’m a beginner as I am
(perhaps this kind of question should be in the getting started but it is iOS specific.

Thanks!

Don’t be shy asking. Unfortunately, getting the color value of a pixel is not yet part of the basic language. But you can get that from RGBSurface. See https://forum.xojo.com/18611-rgbsurface-for-ios where Jason King posted a way to do it.

Unfortunately that code only works on 32bit iOS. I’ve tried to convert it to 64bit but only get junk back from the functions. Maybe someone else would be able to convert it successfully to 64bit?

Oups.Sorry.

A shame, thanks for replies! Anyone else have ideas?

It should be possible to use iOSImage.ToData https://forum.xojo.com/18611-rgbsurface-for-ios to turn the picture into a MemoryBlock, and then pick the value there. What I do not know is how to find the offset from the coordinates.
