A Praise on Plug-In Developers

I was so wise to buy the Omegabundle 2014 plug-in collection, and although I did not use it for quite a while, I recently updated some of its contents and started to use them.

In the case of Christian’s MBS plugins, I stumbled about a situation where I needed a shadow for an attributedString I draw on a canvas. It was easy to create a NSShadow class I could use, but Christian’s plug-in started to bite it when I accessed the attributeDictionary later. I told Christian and the result was an update of his plug-in including a NSShadow class (and a few more things I had noticed) the very same afternoon.

With Björn’s Einhugur plug-ins, I found the SearchControl had no means of informing about when the user pressed the delete icon. The next day it could.

That’s an incredibly dedicated commitment to the user from both of them. Thanks a lot again this way too! (And a recommendation to consider buying the current Omegabundle if you did not in the past. It opens a wealth of possibilities, even if you shouldn’t need them right now.)

(I did forget to mention that I had other questions about the use of other plug-ins I bought which were answered quick and helpful by their developers too.)

Thanks.

And to everyone:
