Hi

Do anyone know how to install and run the Xojo 2026r3 IDE on an offline computer that can’t access my xojo account?

Sure. You can download the dmg/installer and download a license file from the website.
Put on an usb thumb drive and move over.

Hi Christian

That was possible on Xojo pre 2006r3 versions.

With Xojo 2026r3, the start up sequence after the installation require a login to the account before you are able to add the license file.

This also prevent users to use the IDE without licenses to learn, if they are local.

Hi again Christian

It should have been “Xojo pre 2026r3” in the previous answer.

I’ve not noticed myself, because I’ve been logged in with prior versions, but 2026r3 requiring a login seems like quite the oversight. Makes the whole “offline license” thing pretty pointless.

We are aware of this issue affecting first-time logins of Xojo 2026r3 on offline machines. For now, workarounds are to take the machine online for login, or if you have 2026r2.1 (or any previous release) already installed on your offline machine, 2026r3 will share that activation. A future update will have a fix for first-time logins offline.
