2012 IDE help unavailable

While programming “Right-click on $String --> Show Help to $String” is one of my favorite functions within the IDE, which it now lacks.
Unfortunately, when I open the help window in the 2012 IDE, I am stuck with a error message reading like “URL not found” and “Error 404”. I suppose that the help system in the 2012 IDE is online-based. Will it be restored any time soon?

You can change your settings to use the local docs which are “as at” the IDE release.

Where do I change this setting? I’m running v2010r2.1 on Windows Vista, and I can’t find the option anywhere.

I don’t think there’s a choice on 2010 - but is that really the version you meant or is that just a typo ?
I dont have that version installed anymore

Edit->Options

In the General area, select “Show Local Documentation” towards the bottom.

Eventually there will be a redirect in place so that docs.realsoftware.com goes to documentation.xojo.com.

Is this a good idea when using RS2012/ RealStudio / Realbasic Online help ?

In near future you will not find the same syntax, and a depreciated command that is removed from documentation, but still valid for RS2012/ RealStudio / Realbasic.

Or will you have a sub section with the old documentation for RS2012

Yes, that is the version I am using. The redirect is up and running now, thanks.
