Please use head shots for your avatars on the forum. I see some people haven’t set up one up yet (the graphical design that is created from your email address or name is a dead giveaway) while some others are using icons rather than head shots.
A head shot really helps others to feel like they are talking to a person. The other day, Jason asked me about a user. I immediately knew who he was talking about (because he’s a beta tester so I frequently see his real name on the forum) and I would recognize him if I saw him on the street because he’s using his picture.
It doesn’t take long to set up a picture using Gravatar and it helps create closer nit community. I also think people are far more likely to be friendly when they see a person rather than an icon.
